On September 9, we organised the second of the four regional events under the Norwegian grant project “Promoting local and regional trilateral social dialogue in Latvia”. We visited Sigulda this time. In exchange of experience, we first visited the wood-processing and furniture manufacturing company Lama. The company was founded in 1995. Lama – it is not only a full cycle production but also a powerful design department and about 90% of the output expert on many foreign countries.

We also visited Ice Bliss, a company known for the Bliss Gelato brand. The company is run by scientist Carl Agris Gross. “Bliss Gelato” uses only fresh ingredients in its products – without synthetic colouring matter, without artificial flavours, without preservatives, with an emphasis on fruit, berries and plants grown in Latvia.

The official part of the measure discussed various topical business issues, such as investment projects in municipalities, infrastructure provision in municipalities, services to municipalities, the impact of ATR on municipal development and social dialogue between municipalities, entrepreneurs and citizens.
