Regional event in the municipality of Adazi, 28 September 2021

On September 28, we organised a third of the four regional events under the Norwegian grant project “Enhancing local and regional tripartite social dialogue in Latvia”.

We visited the county of Adage this time. Thank you very much to Maris Sprindzuks, the Chairman of the Adazi Municipality Council, Karina Mikelsone, and the City Council, for participating in the event.

The council chairman talked about the cooperation with businessmen, about investment and the county’s development program. The management and employees of the county council of Adazi participate in the events organised by the business association, jointly address the problems of entrepreneurs and examine proposals. There is no separate cooperation agreement between municipalities and business associations, but the dialogue takes place organically without any written regulation. The county is proud of its entrepreneurs and has new and significant investments each year in the county.

Thank you very much to the association “Adazu Uznemeji” and, in particular, Uldis Stebelis for hospitality and all that the association is doing to ensure that there is a successful dialogue with the municipality and to encourage business in the county. The members of the association shared their reflection and experience on their participation in the association, on the benefits of acting in the association and the positive treatment of entrepreneurs by the municipal leadership.

Visited the company Felici, which produces musli branded “Muesli Graci” and “RUBRIG”. Business representatives presented history of their companies, achievements, development objectives and cooperation with the municipality.

We shared experience and developed wireless contacts. During the discussions, we discussed the situation in the municipalities of Pieriga following administratively territorial reform.

Thanks to the participants in the event from Riga, Marupe, Kekava, Sigulda and Adazi.

Thank you to our partners Latvia Business Union and the Latvian Communications Workers’ Union.
